Diamond Class Dome Seating

Get a view of the Hudson River like no other. Book a seat in the premium dome-windowed cars today for a unique ride to North Creek. These stylish cars offer table-side service from the professional and attentive staff while you enjoy early morning coffee and breakfast (food is at an additional cost paid on-site).

The dome cars feature table seating on the upper and lower level, with meal service on the lower level. Each car is equipped with air-conditioning and restrooms. Due to the dome stairs, they are not wheelchair-accessible. The Dome Cars continue to be a popular choice among travelers so don't miss these seats!

Standard Class Seating

These classic, mid-century-style coach cars with paired seats along a center aisle are a comfortable and relaxing way to ride the rails. These seats are perfect for larger groups that wish to sit near each other, and are a more economical way for families to travel together. Please note that meal service is not available in coach class. Small snacks and beverages are available for purchase (food is at an additional cost paid on-site).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is seating assigned? -- Diamond Class seating is assigned due to table-seating. Seating assignments are made by reservation agents just prior to the departure date and are not given out in advance. Standard Class seating is first-come, first-served.

How should I dress? -- It is best to check the weather before your trip. Plan for sun, rain, snow or other weather. The train cars are climate controlled, so if you get chilly in air-conditioning, you may want to bring a light sweater in the summer time. Cars are heated as well during the colder months. Sturdy and closed-toed footwear should be worn at all times for safety.

Can I bring food on the train? -- Food is available for purchase on the train on all cars. You are allowed to bring food on board, however, large coolers are not permitted. Any food or snacks that can fit in a backpack or small bag are allowed. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought on the train, however, it is available for purchase on board.

Are there restrooms? -- All of the cars are equipped with restrooms.

Is the train wheelchair accessible? -- Much of the equipment is historic, and access is therefore limited. Guests who wish to receive special assistance are required to specify this information on the order form. Not all train cars are wheel chair accessible.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
